5 Reasons to Visit Walt Disney World During the Summer

When you hear the words summer vacation at Walt Disney World what do you think? Some words that come to mind are hot, crowded, thunderstorms, and just miserable.  That pretty much sums up the perception of summer in Flordia.  However, in this blog, we want to share with you a few reasons why summer might be a ideal time for you to visit Walt Disney World! 

#1- Kids are out of school and sports practices may be less often. This allows everyone to be a little more relaxed with no homework to make up, no missing school days ,sports practices & games.  Less stress for everyone!

#2  Crowds are not so bad in the summer months! You will hear advice about not visiting Disney during the summer months we covered many reason in the opening paragraph.  Summer at Disney is still busy, but there are many other times of the year that are just as busy.  Summer crowds should not be your #1 reason for not visiting during the summer months. If you’re able to vacation during August this can be lower crowds, especially mid to late August.  

#3  Disney pools are a great retreat from the summer heat. All Disney resorts have amazing pools and our team can assist in finding the right resort for your family.   Head into the parks bright and early and spend the morning enjoying the park.  After lunch head back to the resort for a few hours, and cool off in the pool or air conditioning!  After cooling off you can feel refreshed and ready to head back into the parks for an evening of fun.  

#4 Park Hours are often extended during the summer months. This allows you more time to enjoy the parks and allow for that afternoon break. 

#5  Disney Waterparks for the win if you're looking for more than just a resort pool.  Disney waterparks are a terrific and super fun way to cool down when visiting during Walt Disney World.   From wave pools, waterslides for all ages, lazy rivers, and more you will have a great time.
